When someone else’s careless behavior causes an accident that results in an injury, the victim does not have to suffer the consequences alone. Attorney Bruce Poole is here to help protect the rights of those in Maryland after an injury, seeking justice and compensation to help victims obtain the medical care and financial stability they deserve.

Truck Accidents
Most people don’t realize that truck crashes are different. The law is different than from car accidents---Federal and state regulations need to be considered---and the evidence and facts that really matter tend to be much more complicated. Truck crashes often result in significant injuries for drivers and passengers of smaller cars. Victims may suffer permanent disabilities, lose the ability to earn a living, or even lose their lives as a result of a semi crash.
Bruce Poole, Esq. is a member of the national Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys (ATAA), National Trial Lawyers: Top 10 Trucking Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Trucking Litigation Group, and he is one of the few member attorneys practicing within the mid-Atlantic region. Together with the Poole Law Group team, he helps truck accident victims across Maryland get proper compensation for their losses and holds the truck driver, the trucking company, the owner of the freight, the manufacturer of the cab, trailer or other vehicle part, and others potentially liable for the accident.
Auto Accidents
In an instant, an auto accident can occur and change your life. Car crashes can result in serious physical injuries, emotional recovery, missed work, lost wages, and more. It can be especially difficult to deal with your injuries and move forward with your life when it was another person’s careless behavior that caused your suffering. Fortunately,
Bruce Poole and the Poole Law Group represent individuals who have been hurt in an auto accident caused by a negligent driver. Our legal team can help you seek justice and secure the compensation you and your family need to successfully move forward after a crash. Call our
Paratransit Accidents
Paratransit accidents are complex---the attorney must actively practice personal injury law and have a practiced understanding of ADA compliance, the regulations and best practices involved in wheelchair securement, lift operations, and paratransit mobility vehicles, and the responsibilities of and interplay between local and state regulatory bodies, among other aspects. Because of Maryland's tight rules on contributory negligence, the attorney will need to consider the health and/or any contributory factors brought about by the client or victim.
Oftentimes the paratransit companies will have multiple active or closed claims against them yet are able to place the victim or his/her family through legal hoops specifically selected to run out the statute of limitations (e.g., the time allowed for the victim or family members to sue). The companies' insurers are part of the game, too. If your attorney is known to be one who settles pennies on the dollar or just always settles for fear of going to court, you can bet that pennies on the dollar are what you'll be offered. If your attorney is known to be one who will take the case up to a jury trial, if needed, your option for justice just expanded exponentially.
Mass Torts: Zantac
We are no longer accepting these cases.
On April 1, 2020, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a total recall and removal of Zantac, a common heartburn medication available in both prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) versions, from store shelves due to an unacceptably high cancer risk. Our Hagerstown mass tort lawyers works with Levin Papantonio on the Zantac lawsuit and mass tort litigation (MDL) established in federal court and we are accepting clients who took Zantac (e.g., tablets, capsules, injections, syrup) for 30 days or more and who subsequently developed cancer.
Mass Torts: JUUL
Juul Labs, Inc. falsely marketed its products as a safer alternative to standard tobacco products, using colorful packaging and menthol and assorted fruit flavors to attract young consumers. However, Juul products are linked to serious health problems and are not safe, as they have much higher concentrations of nicotine that make them even more addictive than standard tobacco products. The Poole Law Group, together with the firm Schochor, Federico and Staton, P.A., is investigating legal claims related to health problems after using Juul products. We currently represent school boards across the country in their litigation against the company.
Mass Torts: Hernia Mesh
As of November 2022, for potential clients without medical records, we are handling mesh cases only for those who have suffered a bowel removal or testicle removal as a result of the defective mesh. For potential clients with medical records, we are handling mesh cases with both documented removals plus another injury(s) such as infection occurring more than 30 days after mesh implantation, fistula, etc.

Nursing Home Abuse
Placing a loved one in a nursing home is one of the most difficult choices a person will ever have to make. While many assisted living facilities offer care and protection for elderly relatives, some of these care homes may neglect or abuse residents, causing their health to decline rapidly. If your loved one was injured, abused, or died suddenly while under nursing home care, we can get the answers you deserve.
Mass Torts: Opioid Litigation (MDL 2804)
The Poole Law Group is Maryland counsel for a consortium of national trial law firms that are leading the mass tort action against the opioid distributors and manufacturers. The consortium is the litigation team of Levin Papantonio, PA, Baron & Budd, PC, and four other associated national trial firms. Our firm specifically represents Maryland counties and municipalities in the mass tort action. The mass tort action is against the drug manufacturers and distributors (e.g., McKesson, Mallinckrodt, Purdue Pharma, Cardinal Health, and others) who have failed to detect and report suspicious orders of opioids, despite being required to do so by federal and state law.
